IWMS User Group Seminar on 2nd Dec 2019

Background

We launch the first annual forum for executives to discuss the opportunities in the investments of technology to manage Real Estate and assets. “Together with our leading IWMS technology partners we will be engaging some leading facilities and property management specialists or practitioners to address and unpack the technology platforms that support this industry. It is crucial for property practitioner to understand how technologies can unlock opportunities within the management of their assets. This is an opportune platform to have discussions with other leaders who are looking for the next competitive edge and how the right technology can play a huge role. Throughout the day, we will have interactive thought leadership opportunities, viewed demonstrations and networked with industry peers. The output could lessons learnt and critical inflection points, and the digital transformation that is disrupting industries.

Who should be attending

Our targeted user at this seminar is public sector. However we have invited all other specialist in all industries (including CIO’S, HEADS OF PUBLIC SECTOR INFRASTRUCTURE, ASSET & PROPERTY MANAGERS, FACILITIES MANAGERS CFO’S, PROJECT MANAGERS, LEADING PROPERTY PRACTITIONERS)

We are expecting a minimum number of 80 delegates as it is a small focus group.

All speakers and Delegates will be awarded CPD Points for SAAMA

A registered Project Management Professional (PMP) with over 10 years’ experience in the built environment having successfully managed projects in the private and public sectors. Specialties: Strategic Planning, Corporate Real Estate Management, Programme and Project Management, Stakeholder Management, Financial Management.
Bheki Zwane

National Department of Public Works and Infrastructure (NDPWI) Act CIO

Brief Background
Bheki Zwane is an innovationist and a technologist. In the 17 years of working in the government IT industry, Bheki has gained in-depth experience on state’s IT regulatory framework, governance and infrastructure. He has also participated in the number of government IT initiatives like GWEA, FOSS, e-Government via the GITO council. Bheki has keen interest on technologies like Cloud Computing, IoT, Artificial Intelligence, Virtual & Augmented reality and robotics. Bheki holds a Bsc Hons. Comp. Sc. (Unisa), PMP (PMI), CIO certificate (Wits University)
Peter Malebye

Brief Background
Peter qualified as an electrical engineer in 1998 but choose to follow his career in telecommunications which started with Alcatel in 1999. Peter joined MTN SA where he worked as VAS/Data engineer. The next move in Peter’s career was at Accenture as a management consultant where he was involved with the launch of Cell C BSS/OSS operations. The next step was to build strategic consulting skills at Burlington Strategy where he advised Regional Network Operators with capital raising and was involved in advising Neotel pre-launch.

Peter moved back to MTN SA where he was responsible for strategic product development and strategic planning and this included advising on the broadband business for MTN, strategy and approval of the National fibre joint collaboration model in the industry and advising on the acquisition of Verizon to grow MTN Business as well as managing strategic initiatives from a project execution perspective. Peter joined Nokia Sub Sahara leadership being responsible for entry category go to market programs in the region.

Peter re-joined MTN SA and firstly worked as Senior Manager: Business Development then promoted to General Manager Strategy and Marketing Support and later assumed the role of General Manager: Ecosystem Development and Innovation where he is responsible for MTN SA future revenue streams quantification which included defining the MTN Group digital/media strategy to diversify the revenue streams.

In 2012, Peter was responsible for launching the Mobile Money division for MTN South Africa.Peter has advised clients across Media/ICT, Mobile Financial Services and Informal Next Generation Distribution on market entry and go to market strategies.Peter is currently the head of partnerships and mobile solutions for Alternative Business Models at ABSA

Brief Background
Sbongiseni Dube holds a Degree in Information Technology from the Durban University of Technology. Mr Dube has been in the technology space since 2005 till to date. He is academically qualified as a Software Developer, who currently works for the Department of Infrastructure Development as a System Specialist.

Worked for a technology company GijimaAST, as an IT Engineer soon afterhe then pursued a career in local government where, amongst other things, he became a Chairperson of various structures. Chaired a committee which steered towards acquiring a Disaster Relief fund amounting to approximately R45 million for Disaster Management Relief.

He managed eight (8) community development portfolios for the municipality in his tenure. Achieved a merit rating for compliance in his department for good governance and operations during his local government tenure.
In 2012, Mr Dube received an award for Overall No. 1 Employee of the Year 2012.
Mr Dube majored in software development, but also took time to study Business Analysis, Certificate in Public Relations and Administration Management through the University of South Africa.
Mr Dube was part of project managing the implementation of the Gauteng Online

Brief Background
Jazz Mbanjwa is the Voice of Authentic Confidence and Mindfulness Executive Coaching. Being the founder of Zenzele People Professionals in 2002, Jazz advocates for Positive and Mindful Leadership. The idea to “ReThink Your Thinking” and”(Re)Framing Your Mindsets” towards positivity resonates with Jazz as a brand, as well as Zenzele. In her respective field of expertise, Jazz Mbanjwa has twenty years’ experience as a Human Capital Executive across all Human Resource specialties.

She empowers professionals to recognize their talents and unlock their capabilities by using a Strengths Focus- and Strengths Spotting Approach. She has progressed in expanding her scope as a Mindfulness Coach with Neuroscience and Positive Psychology, having graduated with her Masters’ in Positive Psychology, Leadership and Strategy in July 2019 at the IE Business School is Madrid, Spain.

With this qualification, Jazz has been able to expand Zenzele into providing Executive Coaching to businesses. Brief Background
Hamilton Ratshefola is the General Manager of IBM Southern Africa. He rejoined IBM in 2013 as a Sales Director for IBM South Africa. He was later appointed Country General Manager for South Africa in June 2015. In January 2019 Hamilton was given responsibility for 13 more countries in Southern Africa and assumed responsibility as IBM General Manager for the region.

Prior to re-joining IBM, Hamilton was co-founder of Cornastone Technology Holdings (Pty) limited, of which he as CEO for 13 years from 2000 to 2012. Cornastone as a local systems integrator with over 300 employees at its peak and had investments companies.

Before starting Cornastone, Hamilton was an IBM employee for the prior 10 years, started his career as an IBM Systems Engineer, moved to Sales, and became an IBM executive

Skhumbuzo Simelane has been in the IT industry providing solutions to different verticals in Telecommunications, Public and Financial sector. He has held different positions In Project Management, Consultancy, Sales and Leadership. He holds a BSC Information Systems Management from Southeastern University and a Diploma in Project Management. Skhumbuzo is passionate about entrepreneurship and believes in building partnerships to achieve an ecosystem towards Smarter Buildings and IoT

Brief Background
Patrick began his career with Esri South Africa in 1992 and moved into the role of Sales Manager in late 1993. With a sound IT background and strong interpersonal skills he was able to anticipate the needs of the developing GIS market. Patrick’s hands-on approach resulted in Esri South Africa successfully forging lasting relationships with GIS technology users in Southern Africa.

His achievements within the Sales department were a natural steppingstone to his appointment as Managing Director of Esri South Africa in 2002. Patrick has extensive experience in land administration and property management with a variety of customers, locally and in Africa. Under his leadership the company has grown from 30 to over 150 staff members, with a loyal and diverse client base. Esri South Africa is currently the largest supplier of GIS software in Southern Africa.
